Coffee Liqueur

1 cup Bourbon
2 oz instant Coffee
3 ½ cup Sugar
1 each Vanilla Bean

Combine 2 cups of boiling water with coffee and sugar. Stir vigorously until all contents are dissolved. Pour mixture into a ½ gallon container. Cut up vanilla bean and add it to the mixture. Pour in bourbon and swirl to mix. Let sit over time, the longer the better. Vary mixture to taste.

The Devil's Cup

1 cup of Cognac
½ cup Lemon Juice
2 oz. Green Chartreuse
2 oz. Yellow Chartreuse
2 oz. Benedictine
2 oz. Sugar syrup
2 750-ml. bottles of Champagne
1 l. Club soda

Mix ingredients in a chilled punch bowl, with a block of ice. Add champagne and club soda before serving. Serves about 25.
